Why I (__BLANK__) Bakersfield...
Don't read too much into the title, friends. My feelings and opinions change as often as Family Guy airs on TV now. Sometimes, well- MOST of the time, I love it here. But then there are days...

A fine evening for a Sand Storm!

Here's the deal folks- I will post some things that might strike way outside your comfort zone. I make no apologies (now or later). What I can tell you is that it is darn windy and everything in the house is coated in a layer of dust. Guess what I'll be doing for the next four hours?

Still, I wouldn't live anywhere else. Not while I have a wonderful husband, a cozy home and neighbors that keep their yards picked up.

I agree with  you, it seems between my two furry children (cats) and the new subdivision construction I can dust every evening and the furniture still has that thin layer of dust.

I moved to Bakersfield from Portland OR, and although I do miss much about my former city, I find Bako delightful in its own way.  By the way, I would also like to invite you to hook up with our sister site www.bakotopia.com.  Strong, intellengent opinions are encouraged and sought for like the holy grail!

Have a wonderful day-

Oh- I have nothing if not some strong opinions..... or is that B-O? Well, something about me is strong. Thanks for the link- we will definately check it out.

Today is all about deciding what to do about all the plants on the patio. It's getting a bit cooler during the evenings and I want to save as many of them as I can. Oh- and I may clean a little bit as well... adn then there's the laundry to do... and the garage could stand a good hour or two of organization.... Buh bye weekend!
