Things are becoming settled. Field is rented, high schools have been snail mailed information on the upcoming game. Now waiting for responces from each high school coach.  I would like to see at lease one player from as many high schools as I can. Coaches, remember this is an All-Star game and the player will be playing beside Kern Counties best.  A very outstanding woman from the softball community has agreed to throw out the first pitch. Still looking for someone to sing the National Anthem and see if I can get that giant flag that the Fire Department has flying at the game? Still looking for sponsor, we are at the half way mark in having enough money to pay expenses. Sure hope it dosen't have to come out of my pocket? Funny thing happened (well not so funny) a local  "Busenessman" was asked to donate and he was willing "until" he found out it was a girls event? Guess good ol' Bakersfield is still behind the times.
