Disneyland is still great fun for kids
Wow anyone been to Disneyland recently? We took my daughter to celebrate her 2nd Birthday there recently and while a lot has changed now-it's really a big corporate atmosphere with downtown disney and all the other companies that have a presence on the Disney properties, but the rides and characters really had my daughter and the rest of us who went having a great time. This was the first time I have ever been with a child so I have to say it's a lot more fun when your kid is riding a ride with you and she's having a good time than if you're just doing it by yourself or even with a good friend. There's just something about a child having a good time that lifts your spirit. It's an awesome feeling that's hard to describe, but nevertheless very real. My Disneyland memory will DATE me, big time. I remember going to Disneyland when I was very young, almost too young to remember. But years later as I was digging through a drawer full of odds and ends, I found old ticket books -- with the "E" ticket coupons still attached! I wish I would have kept those, just to show my kids. They have no idea what an E-ticket ride is.
