Easter

So, Easter is almost here...when Easter comes around, these days, it like, "Oh yeah, candy, the Easter Bunny, no school!" but what is Easter really all about? Is it really just about the candy, and the decor? Leave your comments...and let me know. :) What does Easter mean to you?

What does Easter mean to me?  See below:

HE IS RISEN!

Thanks for blogging on this topic.  I love doing the Easter baskets and eggs and decorating, but the older I get, the real reason for the holiday brings me such joy.

definitely! I'm only sixteen, but i feel like in some ways, we have lost the meaning of many holidays! Easter is so special. I teach Sunday school at my church, and it was so sweet today when i asked what Easter means...the children thought about it for a minute, then one quietly spoke up and said..."that's when Jesus came back!!!!" It was adorable...I agree...the decorations and all is a very fun thing to do, as long as we still keep the true meaning alive. :)

I think this Easter is very special, considering it is the day to celebrate Christ's resurrection, I believe.  I have been a strict atheist all my life, until I nearly died from anorexia nervosa- I truly believe, now, that it was by God's great love that I am here.  After 60 days at an acute IP hospital called Remuda Ranch and 30 days at their transitional residential facility, I have been resurrected in the Lord and in my life.  It is a blessing, and I hope to be at the Cornerstone Church for their Easter services.  Does anyone know about Cornerstone?

i have heard of Cornerstone Church!!! Where does it meet? You have an amazing story to tell, have you ever considered being a motivational speaker? I go to Kern River Church(KRC) on Olive and Knudsen(small church with a Great purpose!) Would you consider maybe coming and sharing your story some Sunday?!

brewergirl is right!  Please consider sharing your story (in 400 words or less, of course!) for consideration on our Faith page!  I would LOVE to read about your struggle, conversion, and how you are doing today.
