Fall Cleaning

The past few days, I have happily been making a cup of tea in the morning and enjoyed the hint of Fall in the air. Walking down the hallways at school, I've picked up on a slight change in the weather - and I love it!

This weekend, my husband and I are embracing the onset of Autumn with some hardcore Fall Cleaning around the house. Yesterday, we spent over four hours working in the flowerbeds and then carried our energy inside to do some deep cleaning. Today, we'll just make it up as we go, but by golly, we're cleaning some more after church!

I'm also armed with my Apple Spice and Pumpkin Harvest candles, which have been burning like the Eternal Flame.

The tiniest change in the weather has put me in a whimsical mood and by bedtime, I'll have the fall goodies out of storage and sprinkled around the house. That will make waking up Monday morning just a little more appealing. That, and my cup of Earl Grey.

I could just be overexcited by the onset of my favorite season, but is anyone else nesting - or just excited about Autumn knocking on our door?

I'm 100% with you, except for the near 100 degree temps recently.  it does get a bit cooler at night and i wake up kind of brisk and get excited.  then, afternoon comes and my fall jolliness is quickly gone.  i'm cleaning too right now (before and after church) but i'm hot darnit!!  i'm waiting for the much cooler temps!

but, in the joy of the season i did buy my apple air fresheners for fall and changed out the peach ones from summer ;)  oh, and i suppose today is a good day to switch out my door wreaths from sunflowers to my harvest wreaths.

You know what, you two...  enough about how Suzy 1 and Suzy 2 Homemaker are running around cleaning!  haha!  You both make me feel terrible!  I did a little bit of laundry today but that's all!  I just can't be that industrious on the weekends.  I'm still not used to this "being employed" thing, so I tend to let everything GO on the weekends.  :)  But you two are truly inspirational.  I may have to vacuum tomorrow.  :-D

Yeah I think I got dressed around 1:30 just in time to go to our son's baseball game. Can we say lazy! haha! I have started making coffee again in the morning on school days. I don't usually do that during the summer, it's too hot for coffee. Now I'm like, red alert we are out of creamer. haha!

HAHA!  I sooo know what you mean about the creamer!  I forget TP at the store, ketchup, soap, trash bags -- but I NEVER forget when I am out of creamer.  That is so funny!

Fall is definitely here! Not quite time to change out of my summer sandals, but the refreshing chill in the morning air has me longing for jacket-wearing weather. It's almost cool enough for an evening stroll after dinner.

Debbie's right... and she KNOWS when there is a chill!  She's a regular weather gal!  haha!
