Since I'm writing this a day late, I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I did, for the most part. I went to my aunt and uncle's house up near Porterville and saw some family I hadn't seen in a while, some in over a year. We had lots of great food (traditional Thanksgiving stuff-turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, lots of pies, etc.) and played pool at their pool table and just visited. I also watched some football (all the games were blowouts). Funny thing is, I forgot to say what I was thankful for! So, I called my aunt and told her what I was thankful for, and I'll say so here, too. Here goes. I'm very thankful for God, my family, my friends, for everything I have, and last but not least, the Centennial High School Cheerleaders (as mentioned in my previous blog-read it to see why). So, yesterday was great and happy for me, but today, just a mixed bag of feelings. It was good for the most part, until this evening. I had to work this morning, so unfortunately, no shopping (or at least trying to shop among the crowds!) for me. This evening, my day went a little bit downhill (things could certainly be worse), when I went onto www.bakersfield.com (where I'm known as bryanjackson for those who may be curious) and found that my "Trusted Reviewer" status had been lost (apparently yesterday-I didn't get on the internet so I don't know for sure)! So, I guess that's not too bad, but I took great pride in that status, hence the reason why I'm a little upset right now. Now, I can and will hope that I get it back soon, but for now I'll get used to not having that status and get happy again! After all, its just a status. I'm not asking for sympathy here necessarily. I'm still thankful for everything I do have! Well, now I gotta ask, "How was your Thanksgiving?" Now, its time to go get ready for bed. Hope for happiness and peace tomorrow and forever to all! Thanks for reading. With Thanksgiving coming up, I want to say that I'm very thankful for the Centennial High School Cheerleaders. I am a HUGE fan (Centennial is my alma mater-class of 2001) of Centennial's sports teams and I love going to cheer for them in the stands. I thank the cheerleaders (varsity, JV, and frosh/soph) for their kindness and for keeping up their school spirit despite the tough times Centennial has had with its sports teams this fall. But most importantly, I want to thank them for the spirit bag and autographed megaphone they gave me on homecoming night a couple of weeks ago. That made my night really memorable, despite Centennial's loss to North! The girls have been so nice to me and full of pride. Thanks again girls, and remember, GO HAWKS!!!!!!!!!!! |
