Bakersfield Singles in Demand!!
According to Forbes Magzine Bakersfield is not in the top 40 cities for singles. In fact, it's not even in the top 100. So what do singles do in a town that caters to the married? Bar hop???
But what do single professionals do who prefer not to do the bar scene, have tried on line dating, and now what to try something different? Well, many are trying Marcephne Speed Dating. It's the only dating service of its kind in Kern County. An event on September 28th, at the Holiday Inn was maxed out with folks aged over thirty. Amazing. Who knew a company that's been around for nearly two years would still be so popular with the locals?
I dare say because it was started by a local...single person who knew what it would take to help others. If you haven't had a chance to try out speed dating, you probably should give Marcephne Speed Dating a call or drop an email.
The next event is scheduled for Thursday, November 9th and 10th at the Holiday Inn Select, in Bakersfield. But reservations are definitely a requirement!!! By the way, yeah...it's just like the speed dating in the movie, "Hitch," and twice the fun!
