I started my journalism classes

I am officially a staff writer for Bakersfield College's bi-weekly newspaper "Ther Renegade Rip."

My 19 year-old son Dustin is taking the class with me as well.  It's kinda strange but cool to be in the same classroom with your kid.

Our first paper of the Fall semester was published on Sept 10.  You can read my articles at the following address:

If you want to offer advice, hints, or constructive criticism...that would be great!

Well, he confessed to me that he really was not into the writing part.  He wants to do photography, so he is going to talk to the teacher about being a photographer.  My son kinda looks like a rockstar...lol.  When he was a sophomore in high school, he came home from school one day with eyeliner on for a Papa Roach concert.  Pete and I just rolled our eyes and said "It's only a phase"  well, four years later...he has only become more artistic with his eyeliner.

So, when are you going to report on something for The Northwest Voice?  :)
