Musings of this paper's editor
One day I was a writer, the next day I was the editor of the nation's first successful, widespread community journalism newspaper--The Northwest Voice. Writing has always been my passion, and I had contributed upwards of 60 submissions before I became editor. Now, I'm basking in my good fortune and loving every minute of compiling what I believe are masterpieces of unpracticed, non-professional, straight-from-the-heart journalism.

A blog about News, Neighborhoods, and Family & Home.

Hi friends!

I'm back to substitute teaching, and as such I don't have as much time to write.  With a  family, it's always difficult to find time to write, but now it's even more of a challenge.  Please stay tuned for Part 2 of my "rat story" -- it's nearly finished, but I'd like to post it with pictures of the lovely Mona.

Also, stay tuned for a very special article about a very special veteran spied often in the northwest.

This and that:

The new CD for the group Lonestar is finally in stores, however, if you buy it at Target, you'll get THREE extra songs for the same price.

Enjoy the song entitled "Dear God" -- it's a true story about lead singer Richie McDonald's life... and is truly an inspirational song that is worth the $11.00 I spent on the CD at Target.  It's a wonderful reminder to thank God for everything in our lives.

That's all for now.
