Another Day,,, another laugh

I just visited The Bakersfield Californian Blog and had my laugh for the day, I'm not allowed to post and I obied by it and don't until I'm invited back.

BB has everyone in an up roar over comments that shouldn't be on the blog to start with. (His wish is to turn TBC blog all Gay) and people are attacking from all directions, LOL, by putting step by step actions he'd take on a date.

Why do I get such a laugh by reading these daily? because I see people doing far, far worst than what I was said to have done (I only typed in a persons real name) these people drag the story's out to where it should be some place like Hustler or in a Gay Magazine only.

Yep folks, if you need a GOOD laugh from time to time, try reading some on The Bakersfield Circus Blog, it's only getting worst.

I'll willing to bet that that sort of thing wouldn't be allowed over here. ;=)))

My question would be, " just when will TBC get some one to over see that department (People's blog) that can handle it? The names they are using over there are completely uncalled for and they knocked my donkey off for using a mans actual name ( Gaylord), at least I used a persons name and was trying to keep it clean, these people are getting down right dirty over there and 80% of it is going unnoticed, DUUUHHHHHHHHHh

Why do you ask am I writing this? Just go on over and take a look, you'll think the same as me and see they're in bad need for some one to run that sight that is able to clean it up.

I took these directly from todays TBC blog, I left out the posters names but by these you can get some Idea of what it is like over there. I ask, when's it going to stop?, remember, I was kicked off for only using a mans name on the blog.

I agree. It is disgusting and B.com should not allow it, but they do. B.com is more tolerant of those who like sex with boys. It is called progress.

What I think is funny is that he can make several homophobic comments toward me ON MY BLOG and I shrug them off like water on a duck's back, but when I make a joke about him ON MY BLOG about passing me some cow tongue then he goes ballistic. I have learned over the years that the more homophobic the individual the more, uh, "toward the center" they gravitate. They often lash out at behavior that frightens them, and it's usually their own behavior they are frightened of. I think the person he is really lashing out against is himself. I feel sorry for him.

Sic'em, Billionaire. BTW, the biggest posters of gay porn here are siouxcityranch and drilnliftcrude. Billionaire might have a point.

KHSD board backs off JV sports cut

More like it. Before cutting our kids sports, let's cut VIP vacations and some of the road work that can be put on hold.

After all, Hwy 46 was to begin turning into a highway like Hwy 99 back in 1997 finishing up by 2007, where is it? That in itself shows roads can be put on hold even after all the Death on that road, I know because I helped pick some of those off the road that lost their lives out there between 1978 and 1988.

Yep,,, they're really good, at putting things on hold.

Forget about the Budget, just save the Cow tails, this is what we have in Office???

Okay, here it is straight from the Cow's Mouth, we don't have a budget because, those good people that are being paid more money than any of us make off our taxes no less, are to busy talking about how they're to save Cow Tails, just maybe they should worry more about their own tails and get to work! I say, fire the lot of em and put people in there that have something from the neck up other than Cow tails on the brain, if there is one.

When I post something on this sight, it draws readers because I see the number of people that read my post. Jump in and say something, you won't make me mad at you because you do comment. If you agree, say so, if you think I'M stupid, full of it, and you disagree, say so. This is a place that you can express your own opinion and what ever you have to say is alright by me, at least I'll get some sort of response.

For the record, I'm not as bad as TBC BLOG claims me to be, it's just a cover up for what they lack. LOL

Headaches of skateboards and may I have your money?

Okay, this is really going to show that I've lost it:

One of our more intelligent young lads with his boxers holding his pants up was going along with his Buddy's this morning on a skateboard in the traffic lane in front of my car as if he was daring me to hit him, twenty years ago, while I still drink , he just may have gotten his wish.

Okay, how many of you have been driving along at night time to find some dumb donkey on a skate board in traffic?, I have many of times and darn near nailed some of them to.

What about a drunken bum pushing a grocery card ( stolen from a market that our City doesn't reinforce the law of) if some one takes a car from a car lot,that's a crime but, let some one take a stores shopping cart and that's okay.

Anyway, we have laws that ALL bikes must! have a headlight and a tail light after dark of which most go without anyways. That same law should go for skateboards, shopping carts, anything that can be ridden on pushed or pulled. You take black clothes at night on a skateboard and sooner or later, that one's going to die and we'll be having another car wash.

That brings up something else, why are there more car washes for funerals than the listings in the obituary's?

Does any one ever plan ahead? I've already bought the spots for my Wife, myself and the Girls, we even pre paid for the services, you don't have to be rich, you make it in payments and when your time comes, no one is put out by the fact that some one didn't take the time to plan ahead. How many of you have been blocked at the GREEN light because some donkey is running around in traffic to grab some ones money?

How can we make some money for Sat. nights party??? Let's have a car wash and say some one died, WOW!!! what a great idea and every one will fall for it. We've even had people ask for money at the stores doors for the same, we've even had em come to our front door. Tell me, are these people that we give the money to going to donate when we die??

There is no reason in the World, that people can't plan ahead, we have all of ours done through Green Lawn South West next to Hwy 99, there's no reason not to because they make payment plans to fit your pocket book and then, just maybe these people will stop stepping out in front of my car trying to cause another accident or even another funeral. Let's admit it, some of those people standing out there with those signs are not to bright in the head.

I told you that I've lost it LOL ;=)))

Who will be the 'Junior Black Apprentice' of Bakersfield?

To start with, we're all the same, Black, White, Brown, Yellow, Purple, Green and so on. We're all the same until each person proves themselves different by what they do, good, or bad.

Now the part that really gets to me. If the Whites were to have a 'Junior White Apprentice' all kinds of hell would come of it by those saying we're prejudice by using the word White and not including all other races.

There for, why isn't it titled, Who will be the 'Junior Apprentice' of Bakersfield?

Oh boy, here we go again, smokey air, noise like crazy, six foot rockets landing in my drive way after taking off, or what's left of them that can catch my house on fire, crash through my car windows, scare the hell out of my Dogs and we can't forget the blasted idiots out there shooting guns off on our City streets, aren't those fools aware that what goes up at a high speed, also comes down at a high speed? People are hurt and even killed by these fools and yet they keep on shooting ammo up in the air year after year. This year I hope the ones that shoot in the air are able to shoot straight up in the air and remain in one spot to wait for that bullet to return to point A.

Yep, I see those little trouble making fire works stands a popping up all over. I agree these stand are good for extra income for Churches and other organization but, look at the trouble that comes with it. Last year one of em was robbed of the money making it a total loss.

When I was a wee lad on the 50's and 60's, I remember Cherry bombs, M-80, Black cats and others and no one got hurt. Today, children and adults are hurt by the Children fireworks from the stands.

I don't know what area the PD and Fire Marshall watches for violators but, they may find some South of Ming down South Real, Ackers and OLD Stine all around that area and mostly around the apartments, we hear gun shots all around that area year around.

In my days, M-80's could take a cement brick apart and I don't remember anyone in my home town losing a finger, hand, or an eye.

Let's see, a wage freeze because some one can't get off their South end in order to get something passed. What takes a few days, these people drag out for months just to have a job and to feel important.

What I don't understand is why!, do the people keep electing these people into Office? Clean house and start over, that would save some money.

Let these important people drive those cars for a few more years, and get the most out of them before selling to the public cars that are like new just so the up and ups can be in style.

Don't cut back on Teachers, Firemen and Police Officers, cut back on these people that set on their ass in our Government and never get anything done, you know, the ones that try to make our lives harder so that they may live in style and high on the hog. Make these people to go out and find them a job rather than living off of the people.

Drug test before receiving FOOD STAMPS, for those that doesn't believe this is fair, these druggies will find a way to cash in those food stamps or ATM CARDS IN ORDER TO BUY DRUGS AND YOU KNOW IT.

Cut down on our Prisons and make it a place offenders wouldn't want to go back to. Some of those behind bars like it so well there that they'll break the law as soon as they get out, in order to go back and that's a fact. I've never served time in a prison but, I have seen the entire works of a prison from the inside first hand, some have more in prison than they'd have out here so why would they wish to be anywhere else? Take away all of their luxuries and the State would save money, BIG money.

There are many ways to stop the needless spending of our tax dollars and one of the biggest of bad spending starts with those we have elected into Office. They spend without thinking of the out come. What was the price tag for this voting we did the other day? 80,000,000? how long or what taxes will replace that? They hold an election and it back fires in their faces and who's paying for this? not the ones that held it, but us the tax payers.

Let's see, that money would have been of some good to our schools.

A while back on the bakersfield.com blog I said the same thing and someone tried to straighten me out by saying that there are different funds to be used for different purposes and that funds for elections and such have to be used only for that purpose. I'm I the only one that can see this as a load of cr__? I'm told, there are funds that have to be used for one purpose only and that the money is not to be moved to another location to help our schools, Fire departments, Police and so on BUT!!!!! I'm willing to bet that those we have elected into Office are living high off the hog, what about their funds?

In short, our money should be used where it is needed and not to guarantee the salary of pork barrels. Have these people forgotten that they indeed work for the people, we pay their salaries, they should work for us and if they can't, they should give up their seat and go home.

We are in need of a new election but, it should be to replace all of those that feels it's their State and not ours.

Let's face the facts, some of the ones elected and those that work under them are there only for the money, they couldn't care less about you and me.

Isn't it about time, we take back our State, I took a trip across some of the U.S. a while back and when people learned of where we were from, the first thing they'd say is, "how can you live there?" sounds good doesn't it?

HOW LONG CAN SOME ONE HOLD ON TO AN ARGUMENT

I was looking in on TBC Blog today and really wanted to join in on a couple of the entries posted there. I kind of wish to go back and in a way, and in a way I don't. I miss a lot of the FRIENDS I had on TBC Blog but!, I don't miss the other Bull that goes along with it.

Either way, I thought I'd be invited back by now, just goes to show how some people can hang on to an argument and in turn, block those out that they don't agree with.

Oh, to have the power to state " It's my blog and you can't play here."

I've seen many others make statements that go over the line and they're still there. I've seen some that could pull Court suits, fights and to be band from the blog for a long time.

I get a little tired of people asking me to take the paper at Wal-Mart, Sam's and other places in town when I'm not even allowed on TBC.

Just when are the people at TBC going to be able to get over their period of being MAD at me and allow me back on the blog.

I could go on and really get nasty over this but,it's not worth it. I let it go long time ago, how long does it take for TBC to get over it?

I took a look at TBC blog today and see all this fighting over NOTHING, I still like to know why I was blocked for one stinking little word in return for another ones stinking little word and that person is still there and has never been taken off the blog.

Just thinking of it and wanted to put it in print.

Drug tests to receive Government money

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Want government assistance? Just say no to drugs.

Lawmakers in at least eight states want recipients of food stamps, unemployment benefits or welfare to submit to random drug testing.

The effort comes as more Americans turn to these safety nets to ride out the recession. Poverty and civil liberties advocates fear the strategy could backfire, discouraging some people from seeking financial aid and making already desperate situations worse.

Those in favor of the drug tests say they are motivated out of a concern for their constituents' health and ability to put themselves on more solid financial footing once the economy rebounds. But proponents concede they also want to send a message: you don't get something for nothing.

"Nobody's being forced into these assistance programs," said Craig Blair, a Republican in the West Virginia Legislature who has created a Web site — notwithmytaxdollars.com — that bears a bobble-headed likeness of himself advocating this position. "If so many jobs require random drug tests these days, why not these benefits?"

Blair is proposing the most comprehensive measure in the country, as it would apply to anyone applying for food stamps, unemployment compensation or the federal programs usually known as "welfare": Temporary Assistance for Needy Families and Women, Infants and Children.

Lawmakers in other states are offering similar, but more modest proposals.

On Wednesday, the Kansas House of Representatives approved a measure mandating drug testing for the 14,000 or so people getting cash assistance from the state, which now goes before the state senate. In February, the Oklahoma Senate unanimously passed a measure that would require drug testing as a condition of receiving TANF benefits, and similar bills have been introduced in Missouri and Hawaii. A Florida senator has proposed a bill linking unemployment compensation to drug testing, and a member of Minnesota's House of Representatives has a bill requiring drug tests of people who get public assistance under a state program there.

A January attempt in the Arizona Senate to establish such a law failed.

In the past, such efforts have been stymied by legal and cost concerns, said Christine Nelson, a program manager with the National Conference of State Legislatures. But states' bigger fiscal crises, and the surging demand for public assistance, could change that.

"It's an example of where you could cut costs at the expense of a segment of society that's least able to defend themselves," said Frank Crabtree, executive director of the West Virginia chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union.

There seems to be no coordinated move around the country to push these bills, and similar proposals have arisen periodically since federal welfare reform in the 1990s. But the appearance of a cluster of such proposals in the midst of the recession shows lawmakers are newly engaged about who is getting public assistance.

Particularly troubling to some policy analysts is the drive to drug test people collecting unemployment insurance, whose numbers nationwide now exceed 5.4 million, the highest total on records dating back to 1967.

"It doesn't seem like the kind of thing to bring up during a recession," said Ron Haskins, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution. "People who are unemployed, who have lost their job, that's a sympathetic group. Americans are tuned into that, because they're worried they'll be next."

Indeed, these proposals are coming at a time when more Americans find themselves in need of public assistance.

Although the number of TANF recipients has stayed relatively stable at 3.8 million in the last year, claims for unemployment benefits and food stamps have soared.

In December, more than 31.7 million Americans were receiving food stamp benefits, compared with 27.5 million the year before.

The link between public assistance and drug testing stems from the Congressional overhaul of welfare in the 1990s, which allowed states to implement drug testing as a condition of receiving help.

But a federal court struck down a Michigan law that would have allowed for "random, suspicionless" testing, saying it violated the 4th Amendment's protections against unreasonable search and seizure, said Liz Schott, a senior fellow at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities.

At least six states — Indiana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, Wisconsin and Virginia — tie eligibility for some public assistance to drug testing for convicted felons or parolees, according to the NCSL.

Nelson said programs that screen welfare applicants by assigning them to case workers for interviews have shown some success without the need for drug tests. These alternative measures offer treatment, but can also threaten future benefits if drug problems persist, she said.

They also cost less than the $400 or so needed for tests that can catch a sufficient range of illegal drugs, and rule out false positive results with a follow-up test, she said.

WHAT, IS WRONG WITH OUR GOVERNMENT

Maybe I'm STUPID to even go near this but, here goes.

Our teachers are being laid off from our schools where they are needed and benefits are being cut as well.

Okay, here is my question: What's being cut in our Prisons other than jobs? are the Prisoners benefits being cut? phones, plasma TVs, free dental and medical ?, three square meals a day?, Gym Equipment?, Most of what they'd have out here and even more?

If we'd change our schools to Prisons, just maybe our kids would rate to!

Start up with death roll and we wouldn't have so many Prisoners to feed and then maybe so many wouldn't want to go back after their release. Most are back in with in six months of their release. What's wrong with this story? hummmmm???

Return our schools as schools and make our Prisons back into Prisons rather than a vacation resort.

I hear, give Prisoners a break,,,,, what about our kids???

Marriage and Domestic

Would you be in favor of replacing all marriages with domestic partnerships?

First of all, I'm not trying to cause a problem with this, just pointing out a solution to a problem at hand

This is being Voted on in the Bakersfield.com section. Why, can't they just leave Marriage along and have a Domestic type of service? Why , do those in question need to be married? A Domestic union would be the same seeing that they already have all the other rights.

Don't knock Marriagee just because you don't fit in. Let us be and do your own thing. I now pronounce you Domestic and Domestic, wouldn't that be a whole lot easier and then everyone will be happy. Is that so hard?

Doing away with Marriage would only show our defeat.

I'm posting this here because, I'm not allowed on the Bakersfield.com blog.

I'm not trying to cause trouble with this either, just pointing out a path that could be acceptable to most.
