NOW (2 days later) caution crossing signs are being put up on Luciano. But riddle me this, WILL THAT STOP THE SPEEDERS and DANGER on Luciano? I know they, (the City),&nbsp;were put on notice last spring as my husband called and left a message worried about the safety of the children crossing Luciano and they came out and put those wires in the road to measure traffic (?) but nothing ever came of it until today. I am so very thankful that child is okay- bumped and bruised I heard but OK. I think bigger measures need to happen like stop signs or speed bumps and I think The City should foot the bill as they were told this would happen and did nothing until now. I was told that there had to be a specific amount of traffic for them to put in a stop sign, and they do not put in stop signs to deter speeders. This I do not understand, how does a stop sign not deter speeders? They have to stop. The city said they would put up strips to check the amount of traffic.
