Well Vera,The 30% of owners in the country who licsence their pets are the responsible owners. Those are the people who will be paying for all this legislation. They are the only ones that can be found. Not the guy on the corner who doesn't license ,do health checks or any thing else, just breeds & sells. We are the ones who rescue our own breeds that some idiot has brought into the world with no contracts or regard for the animal. We see those animals ,we get it.You seem to think you are the only one who has a heart but it kills us to see the atrocities too. My club has rescued dogs who had no chance of living a healthy life because of abuse just so they could pass in loving arms. We also see that the idiots will still be around when those of us who care have been forced to give up our hobbies & passions.

The reason AKC did not work on AB1634 is because You can not compromise bad legislation

Get real Animal rightists

If any of these proposals pass in this state or county, animal control is in for a rude awakening. If a person can't afford to alter their pet & now get fined for owning it,where do you think it will end up? Animal Control!!! The shelters will be overflowing.

As for paying taxes on raising puppies, talk to a CPA about that. If you do not show a profit after I belive it is 3 or 4 years,it is considered a hobby & can not be on your taxes. Now since a responsible breeder does not bree for the money & usually looses a few thousand dollars, you can't declare it on your taxes.

Also, stastics show that 70% of animals euthanized in shelters are feral cats.Hmm, how do you propose to stop that?

It is a well known fact that the animal rights agenda believes it is cruel to own & animal & would kinder if they were all dead. They doing a good job of doing it too
