According to Forbes Magzine Bakersfield is not in the top 40 cities for singles. In fact, it's not even in the top 100. So what do singles do in a town that caters to the married? Bar hop???
But what do single professionals do who prefer not to do the bar scene, have tried on line dating, and now what to try something different? Well, many are trying Marcephne Speed Dating. It's the only dating service of its kind in Kern County.
An event on September 28th, at the Holiday Inn was maxed out with folks aged over thirty. Amazing. Who knew a company that's been around for nearly two years would still be so popular with the locals?
I dare say because it was started by a local...single person who knew what it would take to help others.
