I also am not party loyal. I tend to vote for the candidate who will best represent my values in the White House. Unfortunately the people I vote for, rarely seem to be a "major" political candidate in any political party. Some people say by doing this I am being naive or waisting my vote. I however, disagree, that it is for this reason exactly that the system is set up the way it is so that people can vote their conscious and not go with the "populak" candidate because he (or she) has the best chance of winning.
I agree that you are not alone I wonder why in a year with so few inspiring candidates the voter turnout has been so high? Why are we as a country showing u p at the polls if none of the candidates are worthy of our vote?!
