Speaking of old friends. I just got an email (through Caroline) from people who were like family to us years ago when we first moved to Bakersfield. They lived in Arvin. We would go out there on weekends. My girls picked carrots from a friends field. My oldest daughter learned to drive on dusty farm roads. It was great. I hope, now that I know where our old friends are, that we can rekindle the friendship again.
