I tend to keep tabs on the price of gas at the 3 stations at Merle Haggard Dr. and Hwy 65 since I work at the Carquest DC. Here, there's a Shell, Chevron, and an Arco. I keep most tabs on the Shell because I can barely see what the price is from the red light at Merle Haggard and Industry Parkway Dr. Last week (I think it was), the Shell went from 3.97 to $4.03 in a less than 24 hour span. Then a couple of days later, it went from $4.03 straight to $4.17 (making me think, "HOW IS THAT EVEN LEGAL?!?!?!?"), then it went from $4.17 to $4.23. For the last couple of years the Shell has been 2 cents/gallon cheaper than the Chevron and the Shell changes its price when the Chevron does. I noticed the Arco was $4.05 last Wednesday, but I haven't seen it since.
I think the government needs to step in and stop this price manipulation! The oil companies are making insane profits at the expense of the world's...
