That sounds terrible! Pain while traveling is no fun at all, but you've been through hell! The Texan emergency room sounds archaic and I can't believe that guy wouldn't give you a *blanket*!!! Aren't emergency room folks interesting? I'm glad your system is balancing out and that you were able to get help - good luck on the rest of your trip!
