You mention "a slippery slope". I had a simular thought last week: If Gay marraige is acceptable, then is it okay for a man to marry his brother? If not, how could you defend any position saying that it was not okay?
We must pass proposition 8, or the consequences will be disasterous to the very foundation of our society... our families.
PS - I should mention that I am not a "gay hater" or homophobe in any way.
