That's statistic is pretty much out of context for this area. Feral cats statistics vary greatly from county to county and region to region. it is not the fact here in Kern, and is not really addressed in this bill. Sounds like maybe you don't like cats? We kill lots and lots of healthy, friendly adoptable dogs here in Kern too, wouldn't you rather your tax dollars were spent on something else? Also, "Animal Rights" activists are really not the majority of the ones fighting for this bill, it is mostly Animal Control Agencies, private parties who care about animals and rescuers who spend most of their time cleaning up after other people's irresponsible behavior.
