The Bakersfield Voice

Hi, my name is Kassandra White, a Bakersfield mom of 'Five', two of my own, and three step children, all great kids, ranging from 8 to 17. I currently work full time for a local Engineering company, go to school full-time (night school @ home), and enjoy the family as much as possible.

We love to travel, ride quads, play tennis, big dinners w/family & friends, and all three boys, (Austin, Bryce, & Colby)are addicted to 'Wrestling'.  They all wrestle for Frontier Titan's, and when they're not, they're watching it ~ 'MMA', and having 'Fight Parties'! 

My three step children call me 'The Food Nazi', I don't like them to eat 'Junk', so they pay me back by teasing me. Got to love them. My oldest daughter, Courtney, now in the eighth grade, was born with a rare bone disease, leaving her unable to do a lot of the physical activities that sports has to offer, but can't seem to keep her off her quad - she love's to ride. And our youngest son, Colby, now in second grade, we adopted when he was 18month's , born a meth baby, now has severe ADHD ~ God Bless Mrs. Jacob's @ Independence Elementary, who is his teacher this year. You would never know he wasn't biologically mine, he looks a lot like sister, and when he asks about being in my tummy, I tell him he was much more special than that, and that the beautiful angels brough him to us one day, as we were unable to carry another in mommy's womb. And then there's Aubrey, also in the eighth grade, is our social butterfly, always on the go, always has an agenda, but does well in school. We're proud of them all.

Regardless, I enjoy being 'Mom', the most. It's by far, my first love, and my first priority.
