Bakersfield Brigade Boys Under 16 has won three out of three games in State Cup Competition in Lancaster, CA on Saturday, April 4th and Sunday, April 5th, 2009.  Brigade came in first in their bracket of four teams, with a combined point total of nine, outshinning their competition!  Way to go Brigade!!

Not only did this team stand out above the rest, but they deligently persisted throughout this first round of State Cup Competition.  In the history of this team,  they have never succeded so valiantly in State Cup Competiton.  Two of the three games played ended in shutouts, with only a lone goal scored on goalkeeper Anthony Gil. Kudos to Julio Cruz, JC Chavez, Julian (Little) Olivares, Julio Lopez for their persistance in the opposing team's goal box. Brigade Boys Under 16 will now move on to the second round of State Cup Competition which will be held here in Bakersfield at the Kern County Soccer Complex on Saturday, April 18, 2009.

Bakersfield Brigade Boys Under 16 is coached by former MLS player Francisco Gomez. An extra special applause and thanks to Francisco for all of his time, pateince and dedication in guiding this team to such a tremendous accomplishment!!
