Girl Scouts Adults have a great time!

Girl Scouting is not just for girls anymore. Women have a great time in Girl Scouts as well. Last night, Girl Scouts- Joshua Tree Council held an alumnae event in the Antelope Valley. Women who were Girl Scouts from all over the world attended the event to share their special memories with one another. The night was full of friendship and a few tears as women of all ages recalled some of their most special childhood memories.

All the women present had several things in common. First, each women was able to attribute at least one special skill they have today to something they learned in GIrl Scouts. Without realizing it had such an impact on our lives, women were able to point to specific childhood events that have had direct effects on their lives today. Second, no matter where you were a Girl Scouts, we all share the same experiences and love for the organization. We all wore the same uniform and took the same promise. Next, we all learned  that we are teh women we are today because of Girl Scouting. Sure, we learned crafts, cooking, camoing and knot tieing. But we also learned abotu teamwork, business, finance, and what it means to be a sister to every Girl Scout.

I left Lancaster last night with 30 new friends. And I would love to do the same here.
