The Bakersfield Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary host a Taco Tuesday the first Tuesday of each month. This event is held to earn funding for the many different charitities we support. Sometimes we also offer entertainment by volunteers from our community.
Most recently, Andrew/audio-visual tech for Jamm'n Island Hula donated his hair for Locks of Love. Hairdresser, Kimberly, volunteered to cut his hair. It was noted by Kimberly that his single donation was enough hair to make on entire wig. This was the beginning of the evening. Next, the beginning and intermediate class of NOR Riverview, performed hula dancing and were joined by some of the auxiliary sisters. They performed Pearly Shells and shared their love. To finish the evening we had fabulous trick roping performed and donated by Felix and Moses Lopez. They are a terriffic father and son performance. Funding was raised for MDA Kids.
I love family and we promote families and charitable works at the FOE. Please check us out and consider being a part of our team. Visit us at 1718 17th Street or call the auxiliary at 661-325-5993 and we will be glad to greet you and tell all about our mission. We are "PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE" and we need you.
