As I sit and write a blog, my prayers go out to all those who are suffering from the Virginia Tech tragedy.
Another realization that life is so precious. So many times we act as if the world revolves around us and nobody else understands what we are going through and that if only...
The people who lost there lives so tragically will not have a if only, they will not get a chance to tell their best friend how much he/she means to them or graduate from college. There last breath was most likely taken with fear in their eyes.
All I can do as a wife, mother, sister, aunt, friend and neighbor is to treat others how I want to be treated...with love, respect and kindess and with no "what ifs"...life is too short!

This is sooooo true! I remember when I was in high school I was a depressed kid. Suicidal even at one point. Well, during that same time a very dear friend of mine passed away. When I saw the pain she left behind I realized how selfish I was being. She had a zest for life and lots of friends and family that loved her. I was too busy alienating myself and feeling sorry for myself to realize that I had the same things as her, minus the zest for life. That's when I decided to (pardon the expression) get my head out of my butt and embrace life. I know my dear friend would be proud of me now!
