Brigitte Alexander was honored by the Westchester Kiwanis as the recipient of their junior high community award in recognition of her "time and efforts given for the betterment of Freedom Middle School." Brigitte was nominated by her teachers based on her being an exemplary student, her exceptional leadership abilities and the many extra-curricular activities she was involved in, according to Ms. Triggs, FMS counselor. The award was presented at the Freedom Middle School Awards Assembly held May 27.
