I've lived in Bakersfield all my life and in the house I currently call home in the northwest since 1989 (I lived in the Oildale area off Olive Dr in an appartment near where the old Lucky grocery store used to be for a couple of years before that).  I've seen it grow a lot out here since then.  I attended Beardsley Elementary School (Kindergarden-1988), Rosedale North Elementary (1st-5th grade), Almondale Elementary (6th grade), Rosedale Middle School (7th-8th grade), and Centennial High School, where I graduated in 2001.  I'm still and ALWAYS will be a proud CHS fan (go Golden Hawks!).  I go to as many CHS sporting events as I possibly can and ALWAYS lead cheers from the stands.  The CHS cheerleaders, fans, and players all enjoy it when I lead cheers for them!

When not rooting for Centennial, I'm rooting for BC and CSUB and all the other local pro minor league sports teams, on my bicycle enjoying the streets of Bakersfield (especially the northwest), blogging on northwestvoice.com or bakersfield.com, or at work (Carquest Distribution Center near Hwy 99 and Hwy 65).  I'm single and straight, but not really looking for any girlfriends at the current time, and I have no kids.
